About Coach McElroy
Hello Thunderbirds! I am in my 13th year of being a Ro-Hawk and Thunderbird! I have served in different capacities as a teacher, coach, and athletic director over the last 23 years. I'm very fortunate to have been a high school head coach in football, baseball, and track. I've also had the opportunity to coach basketball and powerlifting during my career. In 2001, I traveled to West Texas and earned my Master's Degree at Sul Ross State University where I also served as a P.E. instructor and college baseball coach after receiving my Bachelor's at Texas State University (Southwest Texas State University).
I enjoy spending time with my family in the outdoors! We spend lots of time fishing, going to the beach, and just doing anything we can outdoors. I love watching college football and just about any other sport I can find time to enjoy.
I am super thrilled to be a part of RFISD and look forward to a successful year!
