						<description><![CDATA[Dear Thunderbird Parents & Guardians,<br><br>I hope everyone has their sunglasses ready to catch today's sunshine.  I'm looking forward to some warmer weather and some beautiful sunshine.<br><br>The Main Gate will close on Wednesday, February 26 for a few months.  Please plan on being patience as it can take a few days for traffic to normalize.  Enjoy the extra time with your child in the car and spend some time talking about their day or singing a favorite song with them.<br><br>Morning Drop Off:  Please remember our campus opens at 7:30 a.m.  As a courtesy for our parents, teachers try to be out on duty by 7:25 a.m. to assist parents who have a report time of 7:30 a.m.  Please do not drop off your child before there is a teacher visible. 						<description><![CDATA[Dear Thunderbird Parents & Guardians,<br><br>I hope everyone is staying warm and enjoying the beautiful sunshine today.<br><br>Transfer applications for the 2020-2021 school year will go home in backpack mail today.  Please check your child's backpack to locate this form.  All students who reside off base need to apply for transfer into Randolph Field each year.<br><br>Our Book Fair, "It's a Jungle Out There!  Read to Survive!", begins Thursday, February 20 and wraps up on Friday, February 28th.  Hours for the Book Fair are 7:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. with the exception of the last day, Friday, when it will close at noon. It is always fun to put on a scarf and mittens when you know it is for a few days not a few months.   All of us at school were happy to have the sunshine again today so we could have outdoor recess.  Everyone always loves outdoor recess as we have the best playground. 						<description><![CDATA[Dear Thunderbird Parents & Guardians,<br><br>A big Shout Out to our wonderful Randolph Field PTO for funding the three performances this week from the Majik Theatre.  Our students enjoyed the performances.  We really appreciate this extension of learning for our students.  It was so impressed with our 5th grade students when all their hands flew up to respond to all the electricity questions.  They definitely know their circuits and remembered their learning from their electricity unit in Science class. It was a fun evening filled with learning for our students and all the adults.  While the fun activities were starting at the elementary, our Latin Dance Club was performing at our School Board meeting.  They did an amazing job and represented Randolph Elementary. Our school week if ending with our own Randolph Elementary Thunderbird Choir performing at the Spurs game tonight.  I know they will represent our school well!  A shout out to the choir members and their director, Mrs. Snyder, and the Thunderbird Choir assistants Mrs. Byrd & Ms. Dunn.<br><br>This is a reminder there will be no school on Monday, January 17th, as MLK Day is a school holiday.  For a 4 day school week next week, we have a lot of activities packed in to the four days. Their voices made the tree lighting event a success.  A big shout out to all of our parents who brought their child last night and let them shine in the spotlight.
