Mrs. James- Speech Therapy

Welcome to Randolph Elementary Speech Therapy! I am looking forward to a year of fun and progress. This is my 4th year at RES and my 11th year providing speech services in public education. I love working with children to help support speech and language development.

My husband is a U.S.A.F veteran and I have 2 wonderful teenagers. We love the beach and anywhere else with a body of water. In my free time, I enjoy reading, swimming, and fishing.

Any student with an Individual Education Plan (IEP), that includes speech therapy, will be provided with their schedule of speech therapy services. Parents are provided with a progress note during report card periods. Sessions often occur during the first part of P.E. or specials, but are unique to each students needs.
Students without an IEP can be recommended for a screening by their teacher or a parent. To recommend a student for a speech screening, please send me an email. Following a speech screener, the family will be contacted with the results. Response to Intervention (RtI) is provided to some students, prior to a special education evaluation, to support mild developmental delays in communication. Parents are also able to request a comprehensive speech evaluation to determine special education eligibility, but sending a written letter of request to Mrs. James.
