GETTING TO KNOW...
MY BELIEFS AS AN EDUCATOR
I believe in building a strong rapport with each student and getting to know each student as an individual. I believe that when you take the time to build trust and routine in a classroom, students want to learn, want to achieve, want to do their best, and want to be part of the classroom community. I believe in meeting students where they are at through differentiation. I also believe in lovingly, gently pushing students to reach their highest levels. Lastly, I believe in building a true partnership with parents because you ARE your child’s first teacher and, together we will see your child reach their full potential.
This is my 24th year in Education is my 24th year in Education. My first 23 years as a teacher were spent teaching in the Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD. While teaching there, I spent the first 11 years of my career teaching Kindergarten and the last 12 years teaching K-4 Dyslexia Intervention.
As much as I adore teaching Dyslexic students, I was also longing to have my own classroom again where I can build my own classroom community and help students build a broad range of skills across the curriculum areas. In particularly, I wanted to get back to my roots of teaching Kindergarten.
This year, I was fortunate to obtain a position teaching Kindergarten at Randolph Elementary and I could not be happier! I look forward to working with you as a partner in your child's education.
