All About Me

Hello First Grade Families! My name is Kathleen Peters and I am so happy to be your child's first grade teacher this year! My goal is for my students to grow academically, socially, and emotionally. I want them to love learning and school!

I am an Air Force spouse, so completely understand the military way of life and all that comes with it and I am so very excited to work with you and your kiddos! I have taught for 26 years, and being a military spouse, those years have been in many different places (Maryland, Mississippi, Hawaii, California, Nebraska, and Texas). This is my first year teaching at Randolph Elementary and prior to coming here, I taught for the Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD for 10 years (three years in third grade and 7 years in first grade). I have taught Kindergarten through third grade and have substitute taught in grades K through 6.

I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education at the College of Notre Dame of Maryland in Baltimore, Maryland.  I also earned my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction as well as Reading at McDaniel College in Westminster, Maryland. I am certified in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education.

I have two furry children, Mamma Kitty and Luigi and they are usually very well behaved! I love to travel, going to the beach, crafting, decorating, and am a fitness and bodybuilding enthusiast. This year I will be participating in my very first bodybuilding competition and I am very excited about it!
