About Me

Hi! My name is Yvonne Najera and I am THRILLED to be your child’s first grade teacher! It’s going to be a fun year filled with lots of learning and new adventures. I can't wait to learn ALL about your child, but first I am going to tell you a few things about myself.

I was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. I have been married to my best friend for 24 years. My husband retired from the navy after 22 years of service and is a Family Nurse Practitioner for the VA. We decided to make San Antonio our home and moved here 4 years ago. I have three children: Danielle is 26, Daniel is 21, and Dylan is 9. I am also a proud grandparent of my grandson, Diego, who is 3 years!

I graduated from the University of Texas San Antonio with a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. I taught first grade for three and a half years in New Bern, North Carolina and third grade for one year in Suffolk, Virginia. I have been teaching kindergarten at Randolph Elementary for 2 and a half years and I absolutely love it here.
