Important Classroom Info

I only have 1 homework assignment that I ask of you...please have your kiddo read 20 min each night.  Other than that, I don't assign homework.  We have a very long, very packed day and when they get home I want them to be able to enjoy the rest of their day!

 

My hours are 7:30-4:00 Monday-Friday.  After 4pm, my teacher hat comes off and my Mama hat goes on.  With 2 little boys and sports practices, church activities, and family time I do not check email or SeeSaw in the evenings so that I can give my family my undivided attention.  If you email or SeeSaw message me I will get back to you by the end of the following school day.

 

Snack:  We do have a late lunch (12:15), so we will have a brief snack time in the mornings around 10am.  I ask that you only send 1 small, easy to open, dry snack (graham crackers, Goldfish, fruit snacks, veggies, etc).  Please do not send candy for snack time.

 

Water Bottles:  Students are welcome to bring a water bottle from home.  Please, only send WATER in their water bottles.  If there is Gatorade, juice, milk, or any other sugary drink in their bottle it is much harder to clean up any accidental spills.  We will keep water bottles in our cubbies and the kids can go throughout the day to grab a quick drink.  We do not keep them at our desks due to having iPads always on the desks.  As you can imagine water and technology don't mix well. 

 

Birthdays:  We LOVE to celebrate birthdays in 2nd grade!  You are welcome to send in any store bought treats for the class.  We celebrate birthdays at lunch and will pass out treats at that time.  You are always welcome to come have a special birthday lunch with your kiddo!
