Classroom Expectations and Procedures

Corrections/Extra Credit
Students may need to or choose to make corrections to any assignment. Corrections are required on assignments with a grade less than 70%. Students may also choose to make corrections to assignments with grades over 70%. Students have until the following Thursday to complete corrections.

Daily Work/Quiz Correction Policy: Corrections must be completed according to grade-level policy (can be found in your child's communication folder). Half-credit will be given on questions that are answered correctly.

Unit Test Correction Policy: Corrections must be completed according to grade-level policy (can be found in your child's communication folder). Once corrections are turned in, your child will be given a retest. They have the chance to earn full-credit on questions that are answered correctly.

Extra credit is not permitted so the only way to raise a grade is through corrections. If a student needs help making corrections, please let me know and we will schedule a time to work on those corrections together.

Social Contract
We will create a social contract to set expectations on how we treat each other in the classroom. The Social Contract is designed to let all participants in a classroom or school know what behavior is acceptable and what is not.  It is an agreement of behavior to promote a self managing class.

Communication Folder
Your child's communication folder will serve as a way for your child to bring graded papers and other information home and to class. Communication folders will go home and come back to school each day. Please make sure you are checking your child's communication folder daily.

Technology
Classlink will be used to sign into all apps and websites. Your child's username and password will be in their communication folder. Google Classroom will be used as a resource.
